The flow of train traffic up and down the North Thompson corridor has resumed.
It had been suspended, following a derailment near Barriere yesterday afternoon.
Canadian National confirms the tracks were repaired and trains began moving in the early afternoon on Thursday.
“CN crews worked safely through the night at the site of the five-car derailment that occurred last evening at 5:40 pm local time near Barriere,” said the railway in a statement. “CN crews will remain on site as cleanup activities are ongoing.”

The District of Barriere did send out local crews to the scene shortly after the incident took place Wednesday afternoon.
According to officials in Barriere, the local Fire Department arrived, spent a short time there, then left.
“There were no leaks, fires, or injuries reported,” confirmed CN.
“CN would like to apologize for any inconvenience caused by this event and thanks local first responders for their assistance,” added the rail operator.
No word yet on what may have caused the derailment.
Overhead images appear to show a significant amount of damage to the tracks.
CN did not provide details as to what the derailed cars were carrying.
