A teenager remains hospitalized with serious injuries, after a violent assault Thursday night in North Kamloops.
Mounties say the victim was cruising around with a group in a vehicle at around 9:30 on March 14. The group in the car got into an altercation with another group on the street around the Northhills Mall area.
Details around the altercation remain vague, with the Mounties saying only that the victim was hit with an object during the dust-up, and ended up suffering a serious injury.
Mounties say he had to undergo emergency surgery early this morning, and remains hospitalized — with his prognosis unknown.
RCMP say the victim was cruising around in a grey Volkswagon, which they say is important, because they’re appealing to anyone who may have video footage of the incident, or the car cruising around, to pass it along.
RCMP say they will have a sizeable presence in the area throughout the day gathering evidence.
