The 2025 Kamloops Y Dream Home Lottery is underway.

This year’s grand prize is a newly built home at 3562 Sage Drive in Westsyde. It was created in partnership with the Canadian Home Builders’ Association Central Interior and Thompson Rivers University students.

Kamloops Y Spokesperson Bryce Herman says 2025 marks the 29th year of the dream home lottery in Kamloops. “This will be the 29th home that I’ve given away. And not one of them gets any simpler or any less exciting. So there’s a lot to be said about that. And this home this year really is a beautiful home. You know, just got to encourage people to get out and have a look at it.”

Open House sessions will soon be taking place. They will be occurring every Saturday and Sunday starting on April 12th until June 15th between 10:00 am and 3:00 pm. “Before those begin, wo will be at the spring Home Show. We’ll have our team there. We’ll have a display. We’re at booth number 55 so if you’re in the area and you’re going into the home show, look us up again. Booth 55 double nickels. Can’t miss that, so stop on by. We’ve got tablets. We’ll be able to help you process.”

The Spring Home Show runs on April 5th and 6th starting at 10:00 at McArthur Island Sport and Event Centre.

The home is  2,355 sq. and is net zero ready. “It is what I would classify as a West Coast contemporary style home,” said Herman. “Its got vaulted ceilings, a ton of glass, like it’s all glass almost everywhere in the grand room, the kitchen area. So it’s got expansive views going down. It’s in Westsyde at 3562 Sage Dr. It’s right across from the shopping center up on the hill. And so you’ve got all this view down over the valley. And it is just absolutely gorgeous. So that’s all in there.”

There are 37,000 tickets available, but things could sell out fast as they have in the past.

There is also a 50/50 draw that runs in conjunction with the Dream Home. Last year’s 50/50 winner took home more than $420,000.  There are also early bird prizes to be won. Those include 2025 Forest River Cherokee Wolf Pup and a 2025 Polaris RZR100S Ultimate. Your dream home ticket gets you in the draw for those.
