On Monday evening, Kamloops RCMP officers responded to a Sahali motel after a man went to the hospital with stab wounds.
On April 14, 2025, around 5:45, police went to Royal Inland Hospital in response to the report. It was there that they discovered a victim who had allegedly been assaulted with a weapon. The incident had occurred in the 500-block of Columbia Street West.
“According to the report, the victim had attended a motel room to purchase drugs, and once inside, was assaulted by two men,” said Corporal Crystal Evelyn, Kamloops RCMP Detachment spokesperson.
The Police Dog Service Unit aided frontline officers at the site of the reported location. They attended the exact room, but no one was located inside. A police presence remained on scene while a search warrant was obtained and executed.
The victim’s injuries were non-life threatening.
One suspect is described as a shorter man wearing a grey hoodie, black pants, dark glasses, black ski mask, and ball hat. The second suspect is described as a taller man wearing all black with some yellow, and yellow on his hat.
