The Kamloops Blazers have acquired 2005-born defenceman Samuel Borschowa from the Moose Jaw Warriors for an eighth round pick in the 2027 WHL Prospects Draft.
The trade comes as the Blazers try to shore up the blueline that has been dealing with injuries this season. Both Ryan Nolan, 19, and Ryan Michael, 18, are currently out with injuries.
Borschowa, 18, is scoreless through three games with the Warriors this season.
The McTaggart, Sask. native split the 2022-23 season with the Warriors and the SJHL’s Notre Dame Hounds. He put up three assists in 15 games with the Warriors and nine points (two goals and seven assists) in 35 games with the Hounds.
Borschowa will join the Blazers this week and could make his debut Friday night, Nov. 3, when the Blazers host the Red Deer Rebels.
Blazers add some depth to blue line. SK native comes in and could play Friday night if needed. Both D Nolan & Michael are currently out with injury. https://t.co/FLk4mGnwel
