The Kamloops Blazers have officially named Fraser Minten as Team Captain for the 2023-24 season.
The Toronto Maple Leafs reassigned the 19-year-old to the Blazers last Friday.
The Vancouver native missed the first 15 games of the Blazers’ season, instead playing in four NHL games after he cracked the Leafs’ opening-right roster following an impressive training camp.
“Excited to be back and to lead this group,” Minten said in a short video shared by the Blazers.
Minten will be joined by alternate captains Logan Bairos, Emmitt Finnie, Dylan Sydor, Connor Levis, and Ryan Michael. The five will split duties at home and on the road.
Minten succeeds Kamloops native Logan Stankoven who was Blazers captain during the 2022-23 season.
The Blazers will host the Red Deer Rebels tomorrow night.
