Tim Horton’s Smile Cookie Week kicks off on Monday, with proceeds in Kamloops going to support the BC Wildlife Park.
The park’s Executive Director Glenn Grant says they will be putting the money raised from the campaign towards building a fully accessible playground at the Wildlife Park.
“It is anticipated that there could be around $5,000, which is fantastic because that will go a long way to buying a piece of that playground equipment,” Grant told Radio NL.
Speaking on NL Mornings, he says he expects to have the new playground equipment installed at the BC Wildlife Park in time for the 2025 season.
Smile Cookies will be available from Monday, November 13 until Sunday, November 19.
50 per cent of the proceeds from the Smile Cookie campaign will go directly to the BC Wildlife Park, with the remaining 50 per cent going to the Tim Hortons Foundation Camps.
“We are looking forward to getting out in some of those stores and helping,” Grant added.
“Our staff will get out and volunteer and decorate some cookies and raise a little bit of money for our accessible playground project.”
