Kamloops Mounties are asking for video or potential witnesses after a home in Dallas was hit with a bullet early Tuesday morning.
Police say they were called to the 5700-block of Todd Hill Crescent around 8:15 a.m. yesterday, Jan. 30, where they found a bullet and damage that was “consistent with a gunshot.”
RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Crystal Evelyn says police believe the shots were fired around 3:50 a.m. when two loud bangs were heard.
“Fortunately, no one was injured in this incident, but the potential risk presented to those inside the residence and in the area was extremely high and is being taken very seriously,” Evelyn said.
No word on any possible motive, or whether the home itself was targeted.
“As the investigation continues, we are asking the public to please check their video security or dash camera systems to see if they captured any vehicle or presence that could be related to this incident,” Evelyn added.
People with information are being told to contact the Kamloops RCMP Detachment at 250-828-3000 and reference file 2024-2974.
