Kamloops RCMP are investigating an early morning house fire in Brocklehurst as a case of arson.

Mounties say they were called to a house on the 1700-block of Brunner Avenue around 3 a.m. Wednesday, March 13. They say firefighters were already on scene and smoke could be seen coming out of a window.

“Two people were reported as throwing something into the house, then fleeing the area – one on a bike,” Kamloops RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Crystal Evelyn said.

Evelyn says there were no injuries reported, but she said police are in the area gathering more information that may help further the investigation.
