While its not the $80-million they were hoping for, someone in Kamloops is a million dollars richer this morning.
The British Columbia Lottery Corporation says a ticket with the numbers 1, 26, 27, 30, 40, 42, and 43 won a Maxmillions prize in Tuesdays’ Lotto Max draw.
It’s not clear where in Kamloops the ticket was sold, but it was the only one in B.C. that won one of the 24 million dollar prizes that were up for grabs.
The $80 million jackpot, the largest in Canadian lottery history, was also won Tuesday night. The owners of two tickets, in Ontario and Quebec with the numbers 2, 4, 11, 16, 25, 29, and 47 will split the jackpot.
Someone in Coquitlam matched six of seven winning numbers and the bonus number of 34, to win $293,334.10. There were two other such tickets sold somewhere in Ontario and in Saskatoon.
The next Lotto Max draw on Friday will have an estimated jackpot of $22 million.
