The October 18, 2024 Lotto Max landed Cory Turner a windfall of cash.

After purchasing his ticket on PlayNow.com he went on to match 4/4 Extra numbers, netting him a $500,000 prize.

“I thought, ‘Did I really win?’ I had to check my PlayNow account a few times,” he recalled of his initial reaction to the win.

Turner says he couldn’t wait to share the news with his family once the news of the win sunk in. “They were all very excited,”

To celebrate his winnings, Turner enjoyed a delicious dinner and has a few other plans, including purchasing a new truck and putting the majority of it away for retirement.
