Kamloops RCMP are looking for more information after a fatal collision on the Heffley Louis Creek Road yesterday morning.
Cpl. Jodi Shelkie says police are asking people with dashcam footage from 8:15 a.m. to 8:40 a.m. on April 29 to contact the Kamloops Rural RCMP.
“And we’re looking for drivers who were going either direction, whether it was up to Sun Peaks or coming back, we would request that we would view your dash cam footage in case there is some glimpse of the cement truck in it,” she said.
Police and the BC Coroners Service are investigating the crash, after the cement truck was found in the ditch and on its roof.
The driver was trapped inside the truck. He had to be extricated from the vehicle, but was pronounced dead on scene.
“I can’t really say how much traffic there was at that time, and it would be hard for us to know as our officers would have went up quite a bit after the accident happened,” added Shelkie.
There is no word yet on what caused the crash.
