Parkcrest Elementary students and staff will have shorter school days on Monday and Tuesday next week, as they return to class at George Hilliard Elementary.
The Kamloops-Thompson School District says classes will be from 10:30 a.m. to 12 noon on September 16, while classes will be from 8:30 a.m. to 12 noon on September 17.
“Thank you, parents and guardians, for your continued patience and support as we work to get everyone back together and into class,” said Principal Catherine Gorman. “We’re almost there.”
The district says says details on transportation are still being worked out. However, students who are being bussed will be picked up on Schreiner St, at the playground entrance to the Brock Recreation Centre.
“Students will wait for the bus at the playground for pick up between 8:00 a.m. and 8:15 a.m. and will be dropped off there in the afternoon between 2:45 p.m.and 3:00 p.m.,” the School District noted in a release.
Staff add that because of the shorter days on Monday and Tuesday, the bus timings will be a little different, as follows.
- Monday Bus Pick up at Schriener St: 10:05 a.m. Monday Bus Pick up at George Hilliard: 12:10 p.m.
- Tuesday Bus Pick up at Schriener St: 8:05 a.m. Tuesday Bus Pick up at George Hilliard: 12:10 p.m.
District staff say to visit the Parkcrest website or email parkcrest-office@sd73.bc.ca if you have any questions.
