The British Columbia Lottery Corporation has brought on a new Vice President of Social Purpose and Stakeholder Engagement, and he will be stationed in Kamloops.
BCLC Interim President and CEO Greg Moore says it is thrilled to welcome Peter ter Weeme to the team. “His demonstrated experience will help strengthen our organization’s work to offer great gambling and greater good. As a 25-year veteran of the sustainability, social purpose and social justice movements, Peter is well positioned to lead BCLC in defining a new social purpose.”
ter Weeme says BCLC has a history of giving back to both the people and the communities in British Columbia. “I am energized by the opportunity to work with all of our stakeholders to unleash the full potential of being a social-purpose company that operates in the best interest of players and our province. My husband and I are also very excited to be relocating to Kamloops and enjoying everything the community has to offer.”
ter Weeme will begin work in his new role on February 10. Officials say he will work from BCLC’s Vancouver office until moving to Kamloops head office permanently this summer.
