The BC Green Party has chosen Dan Hines as its candidate for Kamloops South Thompson.
Hines is an international leadership consultant and workshop facilitator. He spent the past two years consulting in Beijing, China. He is an Anglican priest and an activist for innovative housing.
“The pandemic has made us all aware of how interdependent we are. We need each other” says Hines. “I am grateful for the strong support of so many people who encouraged me to run in this snap BC election. We are all learning how to best respond to this uncertain time and now this quick rollercoaster ride over these next four weeks. “
Hines says we need a new collaborative approach to politics and governance. “I am grateful to share more in the weeks ahead about the vision of the BC Greens and the new leader Sonia Furstenau”.
Hines will be running against Liberal incumbent Todd Stone. The New Democrats have yet to name a candidate for the riding.
