Kamloops RCMP say two teenagers were taken into police custody after a disturbance at Brock Middle School yesterday afternoon.
Spokesperson Const. Crystal Evelyn says the incident began just before 3:00 p.m. when a pair of teens who were trespassing at the school off Windbreak Street were asked to leave.
“Frontline officers attended a call that started as a disturbance and grew into an assault and uttering threats allegation,” she said, though details were not released. “When asked to leave, the youths allegedly made threats and one of them became assaultive.”
Evelyn says police were able to track the pair and arrested them.
The teenagers were later released with conditions and a court date, pending the course of the investigation as the B.C. Prosecution Service will make a decision on potential charges.
