Firefighters are battling a major fire at Adrenaline Auto Recycling on Aylmer Road in Chase this morning.

Callers to the NL Newsroom say several explosions were heard around 5:30 a.m. Friday.

Members of the Chase Volunteer Fire Department are being assisted by firefighters from Pritchard and Adams Lake.

Residents in and around Chase are also being encouraged to stay indoors as the smoke from fire may be toxic.

It is not clear what caused the fire, and no injuries have been reported at this time.
