A series of storms coming off the Pacific are creating increased winter storm warnings throughout many parts of the province.
Rain and snowfall warnings have been put in place by Environment Canada for several regions, seen in red on the map.
The grey areas indicate special weather statements, including updated information for the Coquihalla and the TransCanada east of Kamloops.
Until Monday afternoon, Environment Canada is suggesting accumulations of between 10 to 20 centimeters along the Hope to Merritt section of the Coquihalla.
Winter driving conditions are already being spotted along the route.
The special weather statement for the TransCanada is somewhat less clear, with no snowfall accumulations being given.
“Snow will intensify over the Trans-Canada Highway from Eagle Pass to Rogers Pass on Monday,” said Environment Canada. This is expected to continue into Tuesday before the weather systems move along.
The national weather service does warn of winter driving conditions in much of the Southern Interior until the systems move through, and temperatures begin to warm up.
