Kamloops RCMP are investigating after a human bone was found by someone who was walking their dog near the airport on Saturday.
Police say the were called to a walkway near the airport around 5:20 p.m., March 26.
“Police engaged the BC Coroners Service anthropologist, who confirmed the bone was human,” RCMP Const. Crystal Evelyn, said, in a statement. “The investigation into who the bone belonged to and the circumstances surrounding its discovery is ongoing and will be done in consult with the BC Coroners Service.”
Evelyn also says a search of the area on Sunday found “no other items of significance.”
