Lee Onslow and her husband Tom spent ten years vacationing in Blue River before moving to the area full time in July 2017.
An active community member, Lee enjoyed a successful career in sales in the oil and gas industry in Calgary prior to her move to Blue River. Her career began when she was hired on as Canada’s second female drilling fluid technologist (mud-man) and worked on the rigs in northeast BC for five years.
Lee is the chair of the Blue River Trails Working Group committee and has also worked to revitalize and transform the Blue River Community Garden.
She was also a member of the recently dissolved Thompson Headwaters Services Committee, which was an advisory committee to Director Stephen Quinn, whom she is replacing on the TNRD board.
Lee is passionate about economic diversity, fiscal responsibility, community health, and food security.
