Logan Stankoven has been named captain of his hometown hockey team.
Thursday morning the Blazers named the 19-year-old Kamloops native as captain, four days after the Dallas Stars returned Stankoven to the WHL for the 2022-23 season.
Ethan Brandwood, Caedan Bankier, and Fraser Minten were also named alternate captains for all Blazers home games, with Drew Englot, Daylan Kuefler, and Matthew Seminoff wearing the ‘A’ on the road.
Stankoven was Blazers co-captain last season, sharing that responsibility with Quinn Schmiemann.
