Dylan Ernst has been named the WHL goaltender of the week for the week ending Nov. 27, 2022.
In two games against Tri-City and Prince George, the 18-year-old turned aside 60 of 62 shots he faced, giving him a 1.00 goals against average and a .968 save percentage.
Ernst made 26 saves in a 6-1 road win over Tri-City last Wednesday, Nov. 23, before following that up with a 34 save effort in Prince George this past Saturday, Nov. 26, helping the Blazers to a 4-1 win.
In 16 games this season, Ernst has a 10-4 record with a 2.29 goals against average and a .922 save percentage.
In 45 career WHL regular season games – all with Kamloops – the Weyburn, Sask. native has a 27-13-3-1- record to go with a 2.71 goals against average and a .906 save percentage.
Ernst and the Blazers are back in action on Wednesday, Nov. 30, when they host Connor Bedard and the Regina Pats at Sandman Centre.
