NL News has learned that Kathy Humphrey, the Director of Corporate Services at the City of Kamloops has announced her upcoming resignation.
Humphrey has accepted a new job as the Executive Finance Officer at the BC Legislature in Victoria, succeeding Hilary Woodward who was escorted out of the building on June 22 by Kate Ryan-Lloyd, the Clerk of the Legislative Assembly.
An official announcement hasn’t yet been made but City staff were informed of Humphrey’s upcoming departure this afternoon, Dec. 7.
According to her LinkedIn profile, Kathy Humphrey has been with the City of Kamloops for a little over seven and half years, having joined in June 2015.
Prior to joining the City, she was the Director of Finance at Thompson Rivers University for seven and half years, having also worked for British Columbia Lottery Corporation and for KPMG.
Her last day with the City of Kamloops is expected to be in mid-January.
